Overview

Maryellen brings over a decade’s experience working with government at all levels from her practice in Calfee’s Public Law and Finance and Government Relations and Legislation practice groups.  She has worked with clients on legislative projects, both in drafting the legislation and advocating for measures through to passage.  Maryellen has provided counsel to state-level authorities and other agencies of state government, municipalities, port authorities, counties, townships and special districts on various matters including real estate and economic development, land use, ordinance drafting and compliance.  She also has developed specific expertise in the Ohio Public Records and Open Meetings Acts and is a frequent presenter and lecturer on those topics, bringing that expertise to bear on every local government project she works on.
